Carpet Roles UK, dedicated Recruiters to the UK Flooring Sector are delighted to be assisting our clients, a leading Independent Flooring and Tiling Contractor in their search for additional staffing to contribute to their success Story.

Our Clients Contracts Division, based in Essex near Wickford, are recruiting for a full time Flooring Project Manager.  The successful candidate will be working for a long established, well respected Commercial Flooring Contractor responsible for projects in London and surrounding areas covering residential, commercial, education and healthcare sectors With a particular focus upon the Flooring elements of the contracts.

Experience working with national, regional, and local main contractors, dealing with  projects of varying nature/scale and values ranging from £1,000 to in excess of £1m is a requirement.

Duties of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Working closely with our Managing Director and Commercial Department
• Taking responsibility for the delivery of projects.
• An Eye for detail and Quality control.
• Liaising with main contractor site teams / visiting site
• Ensuring material and plant requirements are met
• Managing site supervisors/operatives
• Health and Safety responsibilities; RAMS, COSHH, Tool Box Talks
• Quality control and monitoring of program / delivery
• Preparing valuations and valuing variations
• Monitoring costs to ensure budget compliance and highlight variances
• Working with our accounts department

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of flooring products, specifications, sub-floor preparation and moisture issues
• Ambitious, diligent and attention to detail
• Enjoy problem solving
• Punctuality
• Microsoft/IT literate
• Experience using Callidus / Quickscale
• Site software; Fieldview /Viewpoint For Projects/Site Audit Pro
• SMSTS / SSSTS
• Health and Safety qualifications; such at IOSH (not essential)
• Full UK Driving licence
• CSCS card

Salary: £50k to £60k per year (Negotiable) + Benefits
